SECURITY AT LONGFORD LANE

  We have been reminded by the Longford Village Hall committee that security and good housekeeping is a requirement of use by groups like ourselves. During the June club night meeting we were aware of travellers illegally on the grounds. We let them know in no uncertain way that they were not welcome and should not interfere with our club activities in the hall. I noticed local people were still walking their dogs around the ground, no doubt keeping an eye on them. The travellers left under cover of dark early on Wednesday, leaving some debris that was quickly removed by Longford committee people. Improved gate security with vehicle height restriction is shortly to be introduced to prevent recurrence of this nuisance.
  As a trusted key holder , MSRVS will continue to use the village hall facility in a clean and secure manner. After all, we are caring and responsible people.
